Reading PA Concours d’Elegance

5/20/01 Reading PA Concours d’Elegance

I had a “car heavy” weekend because I went to the 17th annual Reading PA Concours d’Elegance. It was a chance to see some Ferraris and meet some of their owners. Over a hundred cars were registered, and even a good amount of vintage Ferraris showed up! I wish I had more pictures to show, but my digital camera was having some problems! Bryan Phillips, who has posted on the BBS, brought his “Queen Mother,” and she sticks her nose out into this picture. (You can see more pictures of Bryan’s car here.)

There were a ton of 308s and 328s, possibly more than any other model. If you’re a late model Ferrari fan (post ’72 in my book) then you would have been well entertained, but the vintage stuff was well represented with a 250GTE, 275GTB, 330s, and 365s. It was inspiring to my project to see other owners working hard at keeping these cars running, and in beautiful shape. Thanks to everyone who took the time to talk about the cars we love.
