Frank Segreto

Frank Segreto
I was on my way out of town when I received news that Frank Segreto suffered a heart attack on June 28th. He was in the hospital recovering by the time I heard about it, but I was relieved to hear that he survived it. Frank owns East Coast Auto Trim, the upholstery shop that I worked at to refurbish my interior. I couldn’t have done my interior without Frank’s patience, generosity, and friendship and I hope he comes out the other end of this O.K. The irony was I talked about visiting Frank on my last post, and it was about the same time he had his attack.
As of today, his daughter Gina told me that he had a stint put in the day he had his heart attack, and if he is physically capable, he’ll have another one put in next week. The prognosis is he may be too weak to resume working, and his doctor’s advice is to retire. If I know Frank, it will be very difficult for him to stop doing something he loves, but it now may be a matter of life and death.
I get introspective whenever things like this happen. I know many of you are realizing your dreams, trying to live your life to the fullest, but it certainly doesn’t take a Ferrari to make you happy. Sometimes having your health is all you need, so appreciate tomorrow simply because you have it! I know I will.
My thoughts are with Frank and his family, and let’s all hope he gets better soon!
