Home in New York

After 26 hours of traveling, we finally made it home to our house in New York. Our first week back has been very busy with visiting family and friends and sorting through all the things that have been neglected in the six months we were away from the United States. I’ve also officially resigned from CBS, and Late Show with David Letterman. It was a bittersweet good-bye as I have some fond memories working for for “The Show,” but I’ve come to a point in my life where I need to do something different.

I found myself in Brooklyn waiting for train at Avenue U and MacDonald Ave. and I realized what a difference a week makes! I was definitely half a world away from Sydney both literally and figuratively. The six months in Australia has given me the perspective to leave my former job and face a new beginning with renewed strength. I have the opportunity to reinvent myself, so I don’t want to squander this chance. Look in this space for my next move, and if you have any ideas, bring ’em on!
