Installing the Mustang Engine

We had house guests over this weekend, so I put my friend to work installing my Mustang engine. While his family enjoyed their visit, Rich helped me push the Mustang outside to drop the motor in place. The last of the snow from this winter was still on the ground, but I’ve been keeping the area outside my garage clear so the Mustang could have enough room for the engine hoist.

We had a little trouble getting the input shaft on the transmission to line up with the engine, but after some angle changes on the engine and some wiggling, things started to line up. Once the bell housing bolts and motor mount bolts lined up, we rolled the car back into the garage and re-joined our families in the house. As much as I would have loved to continue working on my car, we had other obligations. Thanks Rich!
