Pebble Beach Concours D’elegance
testarossas

I arrived late to Pebble Beach on Sunday with Tom K. in his Alfa Romeo 8C. I needed to return my rental car, and since we were going to be on grounds well into the evening with the Gooding Auction, we decided not to try to get to Pebble early. I have found there are only two times during the day that is good for seeing the cars at Pebble Beach, and that’s early o’clock, or after the awards have been handed out. Any other time, you’ll be met with crowds standing all around the cars.

We arrived “rock star late,” after lunch time, but still found a mass of people streaming onto the show field. Tom had scored some good parking near the Gooding auction tent, so we joined the mass of people onto the lawn.
barchettas

A nice collection of Barchettas and Testarossas were gathered in their respective sections…

and this very nice 410 Superamerica
seinfeld

Since Porsche was the featured marque, Jerry Seinfeld was showing a car. We used to chat cars back in the days I worked for Letterman, but getting close to him now was near impossible!

I don’t know why, but this picture made me laugh. Insert your own caption.
375America

Congratulations to Heinrich Kampfer who won his class and the Enzo Ferrari Award for the restoration of his special body 375 America.

Just a reminder, I’m looking for a new Vintage Ferrari Project. If you have, or know of a restoration project, please let me know. It would be great to restore another car on this website! My E-mail.
