Cavallino 2011: Seminar

I had one more task to do before heading to South Florida and that was to chip 1/4 inch of ice off my car so I could make it to the airport! We’ve had an exceptionally snowy winter in the Hudson Valley of New York, so I was looking forward to the break from the cold and the snow shoveling!

The first Event I attended was Cavallino Seminar held on the Thursday of Cavallino weekend. The organizers invite a panel of restorers, historians, and enthusiasts to participate in a presentation of a particular car or type of Ferrari. This year the focus was on Vignale bodies cars, and three wonderful examples were presented with talks by three of the top Ferrari Restorers in the country. Paul Russell, Wayne Obry, and Bob Smith talked about a car that they worked on or completely restored. It’s one of the only opportunities that I know of where the public is introduced to the restorers, and people can ask questions about their work in an open forum. The topics can be very esoteric, but gear heads alike don’t seem to mind!
Paul Russell

In the croud is a “who’s who” of the Vintage Ferrari world. Paul Russell is holding the microphone, but can you spot the other big names?

Reminder: If you have a Ferrari related project, car, or idea you’d like to explore, I’d love to talk to you. I can also help if you’re thinking of buying or selling. This website represents what I love to do, share, and how I make a living, so if you’d like to do something together, let me know. It all begins with an e-mail!

Save the Date! Fourth Annual Radcliffe/Tomyang.net Spring Car Show on Saturday May 7th 2011.
