CMA Models Shop Tour

Talbot Lago

Marshall Buck invited me to see his CMA Models workshop in Long Island NY. Marshall is a craftsman in the company of only a handful of model makers making scratch-built scale model cars. Many collectors of life sized cars also collect these scale models, but what I saw at Marshall’s shop went beyond anything I had ever seen before.

I shot a video of my visit, and I hope you like it as much as I did shooting it.

The level of detail on these cars was incredible, and many of them had accurate moving parts.

Owning life sized examples of some of these cars is nearly impossible, but I would be just as proud if I owned one of these examples!

As usual, I was drawn to the parts shelves! I found boxes and drawers full of intricately detailed parts for all sorts of cars. I should have brought my reading glasses if I had known how much detail there was to see in miniature!

Thanks Marshall for the tour!

Reminder: If you have a Ferrari related project, car, or idea you’d like to explore, I’d love to talk to you. I can also help if you’re thinking of buying or selling. This website represents what I love to do, share, and how I make a living, so if you’d like to do something together, let me know. It all begins with an e-mail!
