2259: Seat Pans and Drive Shaft

seat pans

I had fiberglass seat pans made from molds we made from a SII car a few years ago. You can read about it here. The new pan is much stronger than the vacuum formed originals, so it won’t crack like the old ones.
floors

The floor inner floor is done, primered, and painted on both sides of the GTE. I also had seat belt mounts welded in place for both the front and back seats. The second pan that welds below this pan is fabricated ready to go in and soon we’ll be able to start installing the interior.
u-joint

The drive shaft came back from our balancer and I marked the orientation of the pieces before I took everything apart for painting.
missing cap

The yoke of the drive shaft was missing a plug to contain the grease inside the assembly.
cap

I fabricated an aluminum disk to fit snugly inside the yoke.

Reminder: If you have a Ferrari related project, car, or idea you’d like to explore, I’d love to talk to you. I can also help if you’re thinking of buying or selling. This website represents what I love to do, and now it’s how I make a living, so if you’d like to do something together, let me know. It all begins with an e-mail!
