Berlinetta Motorcars

A customer of mine is in the market for a Dino 246GTS, and asked me to go out to Long Island to take a look at one at Berlinetta Motorcars. I’ve known about Doug Pirrone’s shop for many years, and Francois has known him for even longer. We’ve talked several times over the years via E-mail, so I was glad to finally have a chance to meet in person.

Janet, Doug’s wife, gave us a tour of the office and pictures of cars Doug restored 30 years ago.

In the shop was a 246GT, Lusso, and 275GTB/4 going through restorations. I spent some time with the technicians comisserating about the trials of working on these old cars and sharing stories.

The GTS was a nice car, and checked out well, so we’ll see what my customer decides. Thanks Doug, Janet, and the guys in the shop for your time!
