Going to the Targa Florio?!

Targa Florio

A few months ago, I was talking to one of my clients about his car and the plans for future work on his collection. He mentioned that he was attending the Targa Florio in October and asked me if I was interested in going!

The Targa Florio is a road rally celebrating a classic race held on public roads in Sicily. It’s run once every two years and follows some spectacular roads during three days of driving. Chris offered to deliver a car to Italy and all I had to do was get myself to Sicily. I knew I couldn’t turn down an opportunity like this, so I started clearing out my schedule and working out how to make it happen. With Chris’ generous offer, I hope to share it all with everyone who follows this webiste and maybe in real time on Facebook.
911

My ride will be a 1967 911 that Chris drove on the last Targa. I’m very excited because I spent a lot of time behind the wheel of my old ’72 911, and I look forward to driving the Targa Florio in a familiar car. My only mantra during the whole trip will be “DON’T LIFT!”

Just a Reminder about the October 5th Event at American Dry Stripping. I’ll be there showing the work to be done on a 330GTC. You don’t get many chances to see a Vintage Ferrari before they’re all shiny and done, so come on down! E-mail me and I’ll get you on the list!

On October 5th, 2013, I will be at American Dry Stripping: http://www.americandrystripping.com/ demonstrating some of the work they can do when stripping a car with media blasting. The event is from 11-3pm and the address is:

80 Wampus Ln
Milford, CT 06460
