More LA Car Stuff
I know the posts have been light recently, but I’ve been taking care of some personal business, and getting ready for Monterey. This left very little time to contribute posts to the website and I apologize. I visited a couple of shops before I left LA and wanted to mention them in a post, so here you go!
My friend had his Maserati Sebring serviced at a local shop and he took me down to see it. His plan was to drive this car to Monterey this year, so Exotic Performance in Marina Del Rey was getting it sorted out.
Robert’s shop was pretty crammed full of all sorts of cars, and it looked like the Lamborghini guys have found him!
Another stop we made was to “Peter’s Marina Motors” in Venice Beach. Peter had been turning wrenches for many years in LA, but still retained his German accent. As I talked to the octogenarian about cars, it soon became apparent we knew the same people! It turned out Peter knew my old boss, David Letterman, and my current boss Francois Sicard! Peter sold a couple of cars to Dave that he worked on and restored, and asked to pass on his “hellos” to them when I could. Small world.
Reminder: If you have a Ferrari related project, car, or idea you’d like to explore, I’d love to talk to you. I can also help if you’re thinking of buying or selling. This website represents what I love to do, and now it’s how I make a living, so if you’d like to do something together, let me know. It all begins with an e-mail!
