A yellow 275GTB came into the shop that Francois has known for over 4 decades! It was originally owned by Miles Davis, the Jazz trumpeter that defined Bee Bop of the 50s and 60s and how to be cool! Davis was a Ferrari fan and owned several cars through his life and often visited Chinetti Motors in Connecticut. Francois worked as a mechanic for Chinetti back in those days, and remembered meeting the Jazz great back in the day.

“He had a very dirty mouth!” explained Francois. Which supported the legend that Miles Davis had a propensity for harsh language. Almost everyone he spoke to was a Mother F***!

There’s a problem with the second gear synchronizer, so the gear box had to come out, but hopefully we’ll have this Fucking GTB back on the road! (Sorry, I was channeling Miles).

I’m very excited to do this again, and look forward to see old and new friends at this annual event. Richard Garre and I have hosted this car show to celebrate all types of machinery, focusing on Italian Cars. There’s parking for about 100 cars and we will always try to accommodate late comers, but if you want a guaranteed  spot call Richard to preregister!
