Daytona Gearbox Rebuild

A Daytona was in for a gearbox rebuild. The first step was to pull the rear sections of the exhaust system, and then disconnect the half shafts. From there, the reverse light switch, the speedo cable, and shifter linkage gets disconnected. The torque tube was unbolted, and the drive shaft was disconnected. After everything was loose, we slid the transaxle back. If you’ve ever done one of these things, it’s a 50/50 chance things will go smoothly.

I have to admit, it wasn’t the easiest Daytona to work on, but it wasn’t the worst, but it was certainly satisfying to have the gearbox safely on the ground at the end of the day!
