I finally made some headway in getting the plating back on a SII 330 we have at the shop. Although the bumpers are in copper, they’re one step closer to final chrome plating, and now was the time to make sure everything fit properly.

The front bumper sustained some accident damage in this car’s past, so my plater had to straighten the bumper and bumperettes. As one piece bent, it distorted the piece next to it. Fixing each piece cascaded onto the adjacent part. When everything was put straight, I had to check how if fit to the car.

Along with the chrome plating, the Cadmium plating came back too, so I can now reassemble all the components in the engine compartment. Yay!
