Gas Cap Flap

One of the last things I needed to do to Tom Wilson’s car before sending it home to California was to make a rubber flap for the fuel filler. I copied the one on my car that I believe is original. I’m not sure if the little hole in the center of my flap was original, but this flap was with my car when I got it.

I have some rubber sheets at the shop and cut a piece to match. There’s also a strip of steel that secures the flap to the inside of the opening to the gas door that is held in by two screws.
