We had a light day at the beach and lunch in Rancho Santa Fe, but the Ferrari event of the day was the FCA event on the streets of La Jolla. Tom Wilson’s 250GTE was the oldest car at the show with the next oldest car being a 330GTC.

It didn’t take long for the cameras to come out to interview Tom about his car, and he was happy to give the tour. Having been part of getting the final sorting done on this car, I was so happy to se how much joy this car brought Tom and Paula when they showed their car publicly.

The La Jolla Show was just the beginning of a weekend of events culminating in the La Jolla Concours to be held that Sunday. I had not planned on attending the big Concours on Sunday, but was glad to have made it to the Friday show with the Ferraris.

I even ran into a fellow East Coaster on the street. I don’t know who was more surprised, me or Paul!
