Time Valve Exhausts

I’m always trying to make the most of my trips out of town by visiting shops and vendors while I’m away. Even though this website has forged lifelong friendships with people I have not met in person, I take every opportunity to meet some of you in person. There is nothing better than putting a face to a name with a good old fashioned hand shake.

I met Mike York over 20 years ago in Connecticut when he was working for Timevalve Exhausts when it was owned by David Opperman. Mike was a kid in his mid 20s working for David when Timevalve was more known for reproduction Mercedes Exhausts. They offered a fully stainless steel system to replace the rusty ANSA systems found on most Ferraris back then. Eventually, David wanted to close the business, and Mike bought all the tooling and jigs, and moved it to Melbourne Florida.

Through the years of dissecting old exhaust systems that customers have sent Mike, along with work with knowledgeable restorers like Greg Jones, Mike can make almost whatever the customer wants. As restorers, we have learned what originally came on Vintage Ferraris and have a much better understanding of what a Concours Correct exhaust is, what a Classiche Certified Exhaust is, and what exhaust will make the customer happy. One type of exhaust will not necessarily check off all the boxes. Watch the video I shot while visiting Timevalve and if you have any questions, feel free to ask them on comments below the video.
