Zac's 1969 365 2+2 (queen mother)


Here are some pictures of my car I just recently purchased and have begun a pretty extensive restoration. This is a one owner 20,000 mile that hasn't been registered since 1971, an extremely original car.

9/02 Update

Anyways here is a list of items I have completed
 
Complete engine rebuild on matching numbers 22k mile motor

Rebuild Differential

Rebuild Trans with all new bearings and synchros

Strip car and disassemble to bare frame

8k paint job by Kevin Norton (Famous Harley Painter) and friend

Restored all gauges and interior components

Left front seats original but had to have rears done to match(rear
bottoms were missing

All new headliner and vinyl also new carpet in Wilton wool Navy as
original

Replace all rubber and seals

Polish all glass has original and correct glass all around

Undercoat complete undercarriage

Rebuild and plate all suspension components and install

Rebuild all Six Konis and restore

Install complete NOS Ansa exhaust (lucky find)

Disassemble five Borrani 4075 and have hubs and USA hex knock offs
chrome plated and had rims polished assembled and trued them
myself(another first and A learning expeience)

Find and trade for a complete tool and jack kit with all books

Strip trunk compartment and paint in satin black then reinstall original
carpet after much cleaning and contemplating I decided that sometimes
patina is better then brand new

Clean and restore both fuel tanks. After sitting for more than 30 years
I found some Oregon mice petrified in varnished gasoline (not the best
smell!!!)

Rebuild and restore drive shafts

Have all hardware plated or black oxided as needed

Restore and rebuild brakes

Restore complete pedal box assembly

Polish grill

Still need to have some chrome plating done

And of course need to polish all the trim

Still have some issues with upholstery and the like

Also still need to prep the engine bay before the engine and components
can go in

Can't decide if I want to replace the wire harness or try to restore it(
new
one costs $1500.00 OUCH!!!
