I have rebuilt my 400 engine and auto box and it is now ready to go back in the car. I have a crane and can jack the car up on stands but what I need to know is what is the best way to fit it - auto box first then the engine or as a complete engine/trans unit?

Stephanm is correct. I spoke to an auto box specialist here in the UK about any differences and we decided between us that there are none that we could identify, and if there are any they are not anything your shop would have any control over. I have one here. What are you trying to find out. I ask because of two reasons: 1) If you are looking for a workshop manual type book then this is not very good. The Haynes manual on GM auto gearboxes is much better (http://www.haynes.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10001&st...

On my 1977 400 it is part number 100453 and Ferrari Uk are also out of stock BUT I did some cross referencing and it is the same part number as the sender used on the 308. My guess is that yours would be the same part number but you may want to confirm that. Assuming it is Superformance (www.superfo...

Help needed please in shipping from NY to London
I have a good friend who has just bought a Boxer engine/transmission in Hobrook (?) NY. What we now need to do is to ship this to the UK. The seller has promised to crate the unit. Anyone know a reliable and good shipper who can help us out herre?
