OK, I have sent the pics to you. Actually I have not tried driving the car with the vacuum hoses disconnected. I removed the hoses from their connection at the booster and there is vacuum in both (one from the inlet manifold and one from the vacuum pump). As the booster is new I didn't drive it like...

My booster is PN 124519. The RHD and LHD are almost the same the difference is minimal. When you stand in front of a RHD car and look at the servo, and imagine you are looking at a clock face, the vacuum connection is where the 8 would be. On a LHD (US) car it is where the 4 is. This is the only dif...

How are you getting on with your brakes? I ask because your symptoms are almost identical to my 400 Auto - my brakes get better as they get hot but they are not what I would call good brakes. I have changesd the front discs, all the pads, the booster and rebuilt all the calipers. My brake light also...

I'm here :-) I have the part number s 253.28.550.00 also, and I was quoted £87 each or approx $130. I wasn't offered any alternative part numbers but searching the parts manuals on the owners site shows: Part selected: 253-28-550-00 (this part supersedes other parts) Full description: BONNET PROP AL...

A visit to Ferrari UK
Our local Ferrari Owners Club area group were invited by Ferrari UK to visit them and have a look around their newly opened service centre yesterday. This proved to be a great day out as the service centre is the largest facility in Europe for ANY manufacturer. A huge mechanical repair shop, beautif...

Pictures of a 365GTC/4 engine rebuild
I have a friend in the UK who has stripped and rebuilt his 365GTC/4 engine. If you want to see the pictures have a look at http://www.400register.com/ and follow the link on the home page.
They are an interesting record of something you do not often see.

John Vardanian's 250GT
John,
I see that you mentions that the last owner in the UK of his 250PF Coupe was Nigel James Chiltren-Hunt. He is local to me in London if you needed to contact him.

250GTO Anniversary salellite TV program
For those of us in the UK, and possibly Europe, with Sky TV there is a program being shown on the 'Motors TV' channel (#416 on Sky) which is an hour long and all about about the 250GTO anniversary rally in France in September 2002. Well worth watching. The organisers assembled 23 out of the 36 GTOs ...

I also want to start a 400-series database for the 365GT4 2+2, 400, 400i, 412i cars. I started a year ago but pressure of work at the office means I have gone nowhere. Ideally we need a global database for ALL models, both US and others. Designing the database schema is paramount. Hosting the databa...
