Re: Seat form reproduced from carbon fibre

Wow! It's a shame these beautiful pieces will be hidden under the upholstery.

Re: radiator blind - are there two versions,a long and a shorter one?

The first picture on Kerry's site of the radiator blind was actually taken my me of a radiator blind I was fitting to a car. I have the original one from my car and it measures about 16 inches long, so it's a longer one. My car is a 330 America, but should have all the pieces found on a SIII 250GTE....

Re: Mystery Electrical Parts

The second picture is a light socket that is for an accessory. it mounts below the dash on the driver's side. I think there is a hole in the dash for the receptacle.

Here's a picture of a trouble light with a plug that fits that receptacle.

Re: Parker Hall has retired

I know Parker lurks out there, so Congratulations! You will be missed. I think MPI will do a good job at continuing your business for the Vintage Ferrari Community, but it's an end of an era! I'll miss the catalog, and the little stories your wrote along with some of the pictures you took in the pas...

Re: clutch drives me nuts - what is wrong here?

Thank you very much for the information about the screws - this is it. I purchased my bólts from a cheaper supplier and received wrong dimensions - the head is 5mm high instead of only 4mm. I ordered the right bolts now and everything fits together. Lession learned: when it seems cheaper it finally...

The wiper arms I've seen on the GTCs I've worked on just pressed onto the splines.

I have not had the springs touch when the clutch wore.

Welcome to the Forum, and to the Vintage Ferrari community! You can use either a knock off hammer or a wrench made specifically for the knock offs. Several are available, but I use the hammer. Cook hammer company in the States offers a good lead hammer. http://www.cookhammer.com/lead.html I recommen...

Re: clutch drives me nuts - what is wrong here?

Hi Martin,

Normally, clearance issues occur when too much material has been removed from the flywheel but you said you have a new unit. The flywheel bolts are a little thinner than regular bolts, so how thick are the ones you're using?

Re: 162000 km

Hi Michael, That's great. I'm glad you're enjoying the car! You'll have to decide whether to repair the mechanical part, or have the guts replaced with a quartz movement. The reason these clocks stop working most often is because the contact points inside get dirty and stop passing current. You can ...

Re: 330 gtc spare tire hold down

Hi Steve, Your trunk looks right to me! I have a couple of GTCs at my shop right now, and can measure the hold downs when I get a chance to give you an accurate length. I suspect the one you were sold was to another car. Maybe a 330GT 2+2. I know the length of the rod on a hold down varies from car ...

I really have to hand it to Clete and Kerry for putting the time and effort into these manuals. The countless hours of creating, reviewing, and revising has to be commended. Thanks guys for effort!

There are a hundred ways to skin a cat, and that might not be the way I would remove my valve covers. Boy, reading those comments on BAT is almost as painful as reading some F-chat threads! (Sorry, did I say that out loud! back to lurking)

Re: 330 gtc hood support bolts

Hi Steve,

I usually go with white cad plating, but I've also seen some fasteners in black oxide. Not many fasteners on these cars were painted, unless they were painted over after assembly like steering box bolts.
