Re: Personal Thanks

The landscape of the Internet has changed and there are a lot of distractions from social media and smart phones, but I like this corner of the Internet I've created for us to gather and share our experience. I do have a social media presence, but find it too temporary to share a lot pictures and st...

Re: Personal Thanks

Hi Christopher, You're more than welcome. I have benefited from the generosity of my mentors and friends and only want to pay it forward. When I first started this website, there was very little information available on the internet, and I wanted to try and change that. I built a site where someone ...

Re: So glad that professional panel shops have trouble

Hi Pete, The hand made nature of Vintage Ferraris is a common challenge, but add to that body work done through the years, and the shape of these cars can change drastically. Checking contours with several other cars is only logical. When the 330GTC was made, the Pininfarina body builders were still...

Re: Original timing mark camshaft

Hi Chris,

The line next to the arrow is where the factory put its timing mark. The dot is someone else's mark.

Re: 330 GTC project

Curious to see what you guys think about the 330 GTC currently being auctioned on Bring a Trailer. Seems like a good candidate for restoration. I’m unfortunately only allowed one Ferrari project at a time. I love/hate BaT. I love it because it brings some interesting cars to market, but I hate it b...

Re: GTE water temp switch

Hi John, According to Jim Simpson who took apart the switch, there is a pot on the switch that allows it to adjust when the circuit closes. When he tested the switch after cleaning the internal contacts, he found it to be working properly, so this one didn't need to be adjusted. I believe this one t...

Maybe everyone thought you cross posted on F-chat and didn't need an answer here.

(That was a dig!)

Re: GTE from Charlotte NC

I feel I'm simply trying to find end-users to buy these cars but they don't seem to be listening when I tell them it's a good deal! I chased one in Marquette a couple years ago and the same outcome of Gullwing buying the car and marketing it for substantially more money a few weeks later happened. T...

Re: GTE from Charlotte NC

The sad story about this car is I heard about it four months ago and was trying to find a buyer for it privately. The price was a lot cheaper than what Gullwing is asking and it would have been a viable option without all this mark up. I even had someone from the UK come out and see the car, but the...

Re: Removing knock off spinners.....

For those who spend litte time on F-chat,...hitting the knock off while the car is on the ground lessens the stress on the bearings on a Ferrari. Other cars have different techniques, but this is the right way for a Ferrari.

Re: Highway 330

The 330GTC is the perfect tool for that job; good balance, plenty of torque, and decent brakes. I can hear the singing of the V-12 now with interruptions from the clickity click of the gated shifter between shifts! Enjoy!

Re: gas gauge sending unit 330 GT 2+2

Greetings... The sender in my 330GT looks like the one pictured. The brass float on mine had leaked and I sourced a replacement from an Alfa Hi Tim, The SI 330s and my 330 America used a similar set up that John pictured with a longer arm, but some where in the run of 330s, they changed to the plas...

Re: gas gauge sending unit 330 GT 2+2

George, there are two terminals on the sending unit. One goes to the gauge dial (brown wire, labeled "T"), the other goes to the gauge warning light (green wire, labeled "W"). Connect your ohmmeter from the "dial" terminal to the chassis of the sending unit. Swinging the float arm from one end to a...
