Re: Ultrasonic cleaners
On Italian Webers with cast in brass inserts, ultrasonic cleaning can, occasionally, loosen the inserts enough to cause leaks (air or fuel) around them. This causes poor running and is VERY difficult to diagnose. After diagnosing a few, and figuring out a repair method, it's better to just avoid ul...

Ferrari 330GT, long unpainted weld
Tom,
What is the long unpainted weld behind the shock mount where you fixed the air vent hose mount? Is that going to sanded and painted?
Best

Re: Exhaust originality is an interesting topic
Wonder when they are going to start taking points off for head gaskets that the car did not leave the factory with
Personally genuine factory supplied parts should be correct, even if the manufacturer changed. But yes it is complex

Exhaust originality is an interesting topic
Tom, I think saying the ANSA exhaust is incorrect is interesting, as after all it was a genuine replacement exhaust and there must have been a Ferrari that went down the assembly line and got the ANSA exhaust while the previous car got the Abarth exhaust as the factory ran out of stock/supply. We se...

Blocking - how do you know when straight
Tom, I watched your Ferrari 330 blocking video with great interest as currently blocking my 1750GTV. One thing I was left a little unsure about is when do you stop blocking, i.e. how do they know that the blocking job is finished? I'm using guide coats and that tells you the highs and lows. Do the p...

Re: Please don't move to only videos :-)
Excellent. I managed to watch some videos yesterday and they were excellent. I particularly enjoyed the difference between the 250 and 330 engines. And just read the 250GT floor blog. Heck very poor repairs, but the worse part as you say is the use of completely unsuitable reinforcement. Amazing tha...

Please don't move to only videos :-)
Tom,
Great stuff as always but I just want to remind you that it is much easier for us blokes to read an article, while pretending to be involved in family conversations, or at work, etc., than watching a video ...
Thanks
Pete
