Re: Sheet metal screws through firewall and footwell. Correct?

My car has all the correct machine screw bosses for the major hardware. It’s just the carpet trim screws that’s protrude through the footwell walls. From everyone ones responses, it seems that is not correct - the screws should be very short so they go through only the 1st layer of the double wall. ...

Re: Sheet metal screws through firewall and footwell. Correct?

Kerry Thanks for the note. My car has a few of the captured nuts you mention, but not for all of the carpet button and trim screws. Those are the ones that I am trying to figure out. In any case it sounds like your car does not have any sheet metal screws sticking through the foot-well housing (unde...

Sheet metal screws through firewall and footwell. Correct?

Much of the interior trim in my 330GT is held in by sheet metal screws, and many of these protrude through the floor, firewall and footwell housings on my car. Over the years, it seems that anytime someone worked on the interior trim and had to remove these screws, they would subsequently re-install...

Re: rocker panel trim end shapes

Peter Thanks for your reply. The "square" end of my old part is indeed slightly angled, but that might in fact be because it is bent rather than angled. Photo Mar 30, 7 41 45 PM_1.jpg The new parts that Hein has both have 1 17 degree angle. I have sent pics to a few restorers. Their estimates come b...

rocker panel trim end shapes

I have needed new rocker panel trim pieces (the SS/"chrome" trim piece that goes over the rocker panel/sill seam) since I have owned my 330GT. As you all know, they are hard to find. I found a source in Germany (Hein, who has occasionally posted on this site), but I am not sure his parts are exactly...

Re: interior light lens for 330gt 2+2

Picture attached: Int-light.JPG I just called Yolanda at Aftermarket Reproductions in El Segundo CA. (310) 322-8028. I think I got a recording that gave me another number, which she answered. Her email is mahchi@yahoo.com. I send her a picture of what I wanted, and she confirmed they had them @$25 e...

Re: interior light lens for 330gt 2+2

The timing on this subject is perfect. A year ago I head the headliner replaced on by car. I found out last month, by almost lighting my car on fire, that they installed too-high wattage bulbs. That did this when I had the door open for 30 minutes left.JPG One can, btw, buy a whole new light at OKP ...

Re: Name the car onto which this elegant part goes

After a few weeks of research I ordered a hub-adapter from Maranello, and after many month, I finally got to installing it. 'Cept it does not work. See attached pics. The center horn contact is too tall, and in fact sticks above the surface of the wheel hub. Has anyone seen this before? I am exceedi...

Re: Name the car onto which this elegant part goes

Hmm,

I sent Paula a note a few days ago and she said she did not have one....

It seems that Sergio at autoepoca has them, but its sometimes a little tough to know exactly what you are getting from him. So it's either him or Maranello.

Thank you!

Just to be clear, is the total length 45mm or 45+17 mm?

Thanks for the quick reply.

Of course that begs the question - does anyone out there have an extra 330 hub and needs a 250 hub ;-)?

Name the car onto which this elegant part goes

I recently acquired a (i hope) correct steering wheel fro my 330GT. However, it did not come with the correct hub mount. The correct mount is part 740075, which is a somewhat barrel shaped part: column-end.JPG . What I got with the wheel is a very elegant tapered aluminum part: IMG_4191.JPG So that ...
