Re: GTO 3647 at Monterey

Hi Tom:
Wonderful file. Who is the gentleman that John Surtees was talking to, the current owner?

Re: Electric fuel pump replacement

I discovered on my PF coupe that the points in the electric pump became corroded when it failed. So, much like the ignition points on my 1967 MGB, I took a piece of fine grit emery cloth after them to clean them, reassembled the unit and it ran fine for another ten years.

Re: Updates from Monterey

Thanks Tom for the wonderful pictures. Is the red survivor car with the odd gas fillers some model of Lancia? Glad to see that Dave brought 1747 all the way from south Florida. My old girlfriend looks terrific.

Re: Yeah Tom!!!!!

Hi Tom:
The picture of the two 250s together is terrific. Did the Pf coupes have that little trouble light too?

Re: Yeah Tom!!!!!

Well done Tom and Michael, your patience paid off. I am sure you enjoyed meeting with Carlo. He admired 1747 when we took it for runs at SIR with the Alfa Club and FCA. Is that color the same as on 1747?

Take care,
