Educate on head studs please?

I have a box full of sets of head studs that came from a Ferrari restoration shop. The label on the box says 250 head studs but after opening the bags they are different lengths. The studs are "cold rolled" and then heat treated which according to another restorer is critical due to the heat expansi...

Re: Fitting 205VR15 CN72 HS Cinturatos to a GTE

Here is a pic of my Lusso with 3801's on Avon 205/70 15's. Not correct for the car but they fit.

Electric Fuel Pump Wishlist

Does this make sense? I want the best of both worlds and have the Fispa pump for "show" (Concourse and originality) and the Facet pump for "go" (rally's, long trips, hot TX days). Install both and have a switch under the car near the pumps to toggle back and forth. (I don't want any non-original swi...

Tom-Update on electric fuel pump upgrade?

Tom, I was reading an old post (below) about the fittings you made to add an upgraded modern electric fule pump which still allowed the clicking sound of the original set up that I think is really a requirment for me. Any updates? Does the check valve work ok on the original pump? Thanks, Greg Tom w...

Re: thoughts on attaching rear license plate?

I think Tom has shamed me into drilling holes and mounting a license plate frame. But I might try to double sided tape first....It does make sense since it is a road car so it should have a plate attached and the rear deck was designed with this in mind. I do have the bumpers ready to go back on as ...

Re: Which Cavallino is correct?

Thanks Tom, I found the one below which looks like the one on the left for sale and it was advertised for the back of a modern TR so that might solve mystery of where it came from.

Which Cavallino is correct?

The devil is in the details...which Cavallino is correct for a Lusso? Both of these are the flat Cavallino's and not the 3d sculpted one but look at the minor differences especially in the horses mane where the one of the right has marks below the mane as indicated by the arrow. So is it the left on...

thoughts on attaching rear license plate?

It pains me to have holes drilled into the rear of the Lusso to attach a license plate. My choices are: 1.) Use a license plate bracket that has suction cups and attach it only when driving. These are used on some of the Ferrari vintage race cars. But what if it flies off while driving and chips the...

Re: 250 GT parts - needed

Enio, here is a pic of the mirror disassembled. I don't have the lever or electrical connections. I needed some parts years ago and had to buy ALL of the stuff or none of it from a Ferrari restoration shop that was no longer in business and ended up with some unique original parts that I have ended ...
