Re: Mystery Part #2

at least the two on the left...the two on the upper right definitely mount behind the dash but I can't remember exactly what they hold in place...the one in the bottom center...I don't recall seeing anything like that on my series I interim car...

Re: Dual oil fillers

Thanks very much. I stopped by the shop today working on my car and essentially learned the same thing you have said...absolutely necessary for proper breathing of the engine. Fortunately he has an extra filler for my left side but unfortunately he wants $1200 for the total assembly. Your note about...

Re: Dual oil fillers

Agree Michael...filters are a much more controvercial and therefore fun topic, only second to "which oil to use' perhaps! As to fillers I have no idea why Ferrari engineered the car with two fillers rather than one...but there must be a reason. Symetry and balance to make the engine even more beauti...

Re: Dual oil fillers

Guys, thanks much for the thorough response. However, my question was about the dual the oil FILLS, not FILTERS. I have two filters, the prior owner removed one of the two oil fils on the car. Does it matter?

Dual oil fillers

What was the purpose of having dual oil fillers on the 330gt 2+2 engine? A prior owner removed one on my engine when they added an aftermarket AC unit and moved the alternator to the left side of the car. Other than not looking original does it make any difference that I now have one oil fill on the...

Anyone know if the old switches can be easily rebuilt? If not, know of any source for replacements?

Re: Passenger window motor wiring

Thanks Steve. Experimentation and "do over" seems to be the order of the day on these cars. But then again that seems to be part of the "charm" we are all drawn to in owning them!

Passenger window motor wiring

Am in process of reinstalling the original electric window motor on the passenger side of my 1966 interim 330gt 2+2. There are 4 bullet connections on the back of the motor, 2 on the left (top/bottom facing forward) and 2 on the right (top/bottom) and I have 4 wires to connect, 2 green and 2 black. ...

Which wire is which???

I am in process of restoring my 330. Having pulled the dash I took the opportunity to fix, replace, rewire and do anything I thought was needed to deal with the aging wires behind the dash. As I cut wires to remove the dash I carefully labeled both sides so that I could correctly reconnect later. It...

Re: Horn pickup on Steering column

Came up with a solution that I thought I would share in case anyone else out there is a bone head like me and accidentally breaks the carbon bit in their horn relay pickup. I purchased the new carbon pickup and spring (boxed together in a pair) from McMasters-Carr Company via the internet. Note size...
