I have run 160 degree thermostats in all the Ferraris since 1972, and NEVER had a carburetor "sneeze" due to water temperature. If you have "sneezing" from the carbs, check your Idle jets.

Re: Oil Filler Caps on the top of the motor
I have seen caps finished with the light maching like Tom mentions, but by far the majority of original caps that I have seen over the years definitely had a polished surface. Maybe they were not polished like chrome, which you find on cars restored today, but polished nevertheless. Just my observat...

Re: Help: Brakes Pulling to the Right - 365 GTB/4 Daytona
It is very common on Daytonas and Boxers to have the flex lines internally collapse. They will look perfect from the outside, but will be blocked internally. I have taken many of them apart and there was no way you could blow through the lines. I definitely would replace these (all 8 of them) for su...

Re: Oil Filters
Get the engine warmed up, dump the oil, wait about 45 minutes and then remove the filters. You should then have no oil spills when the filters are removed. Another option is to use a punch and drive a hole in the top of each filter. This breaks the air pocket in the filter and lets any oil drain bac...

Re: Chinetti Files-Cars shipping & delivery History
I think a lot of this information is tied up in a lawsuit between Lou Chinetti and Rick Anderson. Gerald Roush has many of the Chinetti service records, etc.

Re: Dual oil fillers
In the drawing, #3 is full-flow, and #6 is bypass. I belueve the old PH3 was discontinued many years ago.

Re: Weber gasket needed
If you need the #19554 Gasket for the 40 DFI, I have them in stock. Just let me know. This is between the carb top and the air cleaner housing.

Re: Dual oil fillers
The excess oil flow from the pressure pump returns to the sump via the bypass/pressure regulating valve on the chaincase. We have too many "bypass" items here, the actual engine bypass in the chaincase and the PB50 filter, which is a "bypass style" oil filter. Each do different jobs, and have no con...

Re: Dual oil fillers
KARE is correct. I should have been more clear and said that the PH2815 filters ALL THE OIL GOING TO THE BEARINGS all the time. I do believe that, in the Ferrari situation, the split of oil flows between the two filters is more like 90/10 as the oil lines to the PB50 are quite small and the feed is ...

Re: Dual oil fillers
On the subject of the OIL Filters, I am not sure all the previous posts have it exactly correct. The engines using one PH2815 and one PB50 filter do so because the PH 2815 is the full-flow unit. It filters all the oil all the time. It has its own bypass valve internally to make sure the engine is oi...

Re: Oil Filters
I know what everybody will say about Fram Filters, but in this case the Fram PH2804-1 really is the best filter for the 330 GTC. I still have no problem finding them, either locally or on the internet. The most important things about the correct filter for the GTC is having a case with a high burst ...

Re: I Have A Complete Interior for a 330 GT
All the parts are on top of very tall shelving. If somebody buys the stuff, when I get it down, I will look for more detail as to the PF numbers.

Re: I Have A Complete Interior for a 330 GT
The car was PF Body #49, a fairly early 330 GT 2+2. I also just realized I have the Fuel Tank.

I Have A Complete Interior for a 330 GT
Many years ago, I acquired an interior from a 330 GT 2+2 that was turned into a GTO Replica. It is from a 4 Light car. I do not know the serail number, but have the PF numbers, so I can figure it out pretty easily. I would like to get this out of my garage, and would be happy to see it go to somebod...
