Re: found some mystery parts

Thanks for the help with identifying the parts and the discussion about the knock off methods was useful. I have been looking to get another E-type, so this kind of stuff is always good to learn about. The parts are on fleabay under user name "internet.interface", just in case my garage cleaning ite...

found some mystery parts

I have been cleaning the garage and found some parts deep, deep on the lower shelf.... I have a fuel filler rubber flap, an aftermarket Borrani knock-off removal tool, an original fan with some pulleys and a shaft housing. I think this was from when my 250 GTE got converted to electric fans by Johan...

250 GTE scale models fire sale

It has been a while since I have sold #4823, so I am getting rid of some of the scale models featuring the GTE. If you are interested....I do have some rare ones: 1. A 1:18 scale MDS Racing 250 GTE model, 1 of 50, hand made in Italy, with amazing level of detail and it cost way too much a few years ...

Re: Cheezy Name Tags

Save a tag for me. I will be able to drop by, after all. After Mtogp at Seca, an Esalen Institute hiking workshop, and a trip to Ventana Inn for my wedding anniv...this will be my 4th trip down south. There is something about Big Sur and exotic cars that seems to draw me in. :) But i am taking the D...

Re: 250 GTE model collection, anyone?

this year is the first time in 20 years that I will be skipping the August festivities. A 15th wedding anniv. is planned for the same period. Have a drink for me ! Or two, perhaps four. :) I will create an inventory of models shortly. I would be interested in 1 or 2 models. Is there going to be A To...

Re: 250 GTE model collection, anyone?

Pm sent ! I traded my car for a modern Ferrari + cash, so I might have priced myself out of the market for the vintage stuff. But I do look wistfully at some GTC/4s, Testarossas, and even Lambo Espadas for sale. Those are still reasonable. Or I could get back into Alfas. I have only owned a dozen, o...

250 GTE model collection, anyone?

I have what is arguably one of the world's largest 250 GTE model collections. The real thing has been gone now for some time. Every time I look at the models....I have regrets about selling the GTE. So I am thinking about passing the collection on to the next individual who is possibly as obsessed a...

Re: Events around Quail/Pebble Beach

+1 for the venue. Last year was awesome, and kudos to Tom for moving us out of the "Lambo-motel" zip code, although even that had its unique charm (retina-burn -inducing colors of the trophy wife outfits) (Please remember to tip the young ladies tirelessly delivering alcohol to the gearheads and the...

booked for August 2012 in California early

I guess I cannot wait, so I booked while the rates were still reasonable. The location for the party in 2011 was awesome, thanks Tom ! I wander what he will do this year.

This is where I am staying:

Re: Updates from Monterey

Thanks for uploading the pics ! Nice camera work. And a big hand for Tom Y...... for organizing a splendid event. As much as I enjoyed looking at the trophy wives of the Lambo owners...this year's venue was elegant and very scenic. Not to mention the fact that everyone got a sneak peak at the cars o...
