I want to see concrete proof before I buy that story!

Re: Yeah Tom!!!!!
Congratulations to Tom and your customer for helping to save another GTE from the travesty that happened to the GTE in California a few months ago! But thanks and appreciation also is due to Carlo for his empathy and willingness to seek a buyer who would preserve the car in its original state rather...

Re: Winter Storm
I remember a New York City snowstorm back in the mid 1980's where people were cross country skiing up Third Avenue and the BQE near where I lived in Brooklyn was completely shut down because it was littered with abandoned cars and trucks. It was 2 days before those vehicles were cleared so that the ...

Re: 8325 For Sale
Sam: As long as you are here for the Fairfield Concours on Sept. 11, you should stay over for the Caffeine and Carburetors gathering at Zumbach's Coffee Shop in New Canaan on Sunday morning the 12th. Jack is usually there with his beautiful 8325 and it probably would be a good place to showcase it, ...

Finding a correct engine to put into 3787 is the problem and the reason that it lost its engine.

Re: Cavallino 2010
Who has towed or trailered a car from Canada to the U.S. for a car show, and what's involved at the border? I've studied the U.S. Customs web site and have concluded that if I follow their instructions, I'm better to stay at home or drive the car through the snowstorms to get to Cavallino. It can't...

Re: GTE (with shields!) alert (3229)
You might be a little harsh on the guy, don't you think? I view it as a car ad with enough pictures and info to let me know if it is worth investigating further. He could have 1,000 high res pictures and a detailed history of the car on the ad and I would still not think of buying the car without go...

Re: Crimpin' 101
This and the other post on crimping versus soldering are most informative. Thanks for posting the information and the photos!
Also, I hear that this may lead to a new automotive television show to be called "Crimp My Ride"!

Hi John, Thanks for the measured response. Love to get into it with you if we both find ourselves looking at the same gas guzzler at Greenwich. All the best, Yale I'll be looking forward to it, I seem to spend an inordinate amount of time at the Concours around the cars with the worst gas mileage, ...

Here in the states there has been a lot of congressional huffing and puffing about oil company "windfall profits" and what to do about that. The irony of it all is that by far the largest profiteer from high gas prices is the U.S. government and the 50 individual states. Ol' Uncle Sam and its 50 hen...
