Tom which Corvette are you talking about? The C3 came out in 1968 also so I wonder how much design influence there could have been.

I agree with Tom. I'm on other forums with people who are a lot less technically minded and they post tons of photos no problem.

We have under taken the final chasing of all the tiny items that would make this good car into a great car. If you can get someone to pay $34k for you to chase down "all of the tiny items" for them then either 1) you're a great salesman, 2) you found a desperate buyer, 3) you found a buyer who did ...

Here's what you do. When you copy a photo to PhotoBucket, copy a large and a small version. To tell them apart, add the suffix "-Large" and "-Small" to the name. Then, copy Kerry's code into a Word or WordPad document and save it in an easy to find location. Go to Photobucket and copy the URL addre...

I was thinking bigger is better, but Kerry's comments about load time have been bothering me. If we get a bunch of photos on a post, it could take a while to load, even on a good network. I am liking the idea of posting at 400 pixels and having the link to a larger photo. That way it would load at ...

If you used YouTube would you be able to post the full video there?

This reminds me of when I got a ride in #3223 from Bob Bodin back in the '80s. Blast from the past!

Just an FYI that www.ferrarinexus.com has been fully updated...the site got stale as life got a bit busy, but regular updates should be forthcoming now. Lots of nice cars out there.

Darren,

Great car and great story. It's funny how sometimes you just know when you've found the right car. I've had a similar experience and although my search (for a vintage Corvette) took longer, when I found my car I knew right away that it was the one.

Update

Hi folks, I just updated www.ferrarinexus.com with a bunch of new cars, including three GTEs at Classic Car Collection in Switzerland - 2957, 3031 and 3071. Same place also has a new 330 GTC listed as well as a GTS. Interestingly, there are two 365 California Spyders for sale, one at Fantasy Junctio...

Suffice it to say that this car has been abused in so many ways over the years that it's unlikely that much of anything from the original 250 PF has survived beyond some of the body panels and frame.

I would, however, love to see this car saved. A closer inspection would have to be made to see how bad the damage was to the frame. There are some curious creases on the left rear quarter panel that I would like to take a closer look. Tom Well, you are in the area. :D Want to take a look and let us...

Based on the registry entries it looks like he didn't even own the car for a year. Bummer.

It looks like it had been well cared for prior to the accident. I hope someone will rescue it. Hey, one can always hope, right??!!

Just came across this one:

You have to register to view the posts so I wasn't able to get a sense for the signal-to-noise ratio.
