Re: Interior Dome light lens

No problem Ron. $30 plus shipping, which I will look up. Fortunately shipping within the US is much faster and cheaper than shipping overseas!

As you can see, it has the scars to prove it's originality!

GTE 60th Anniversary Road Trip!

I wanted to make sure that you were all aware of the road trip that David Wheeler (GTE Newsletter) is organizing for next May. To date we have 22 cars, all GTEs or friends of GTEs, taking a five day trip from Radcliffe Motors in Rierstown Maryland, through a lot of scenic countryside and ending up a...

Re: Mystery Electrical Parts

I have found two emergency/accessory lights that work, are from the right era and being metal seems more appropriate for our car than plastic. I prefer the one at the top of the first photo because it is made by Altissimo, just like our taillights. These things must have been pretty common, as Ferra...

Re: radiator blind - are there two versions,a long and a shorter one?

The explanation does not make sense to me. The blind has a variable adjustment, so if one did not need full coverage, don't put it all the way up! If the factory was truly worried about hot climates, they would not have installed the blind in the first place, or as has happened with a lot of our car...

Re: Interior Dome light lens

I am happy to send you one. Will check out the cost of sending it your way. Yes, Paypal is the best way to go. You should need the wider cover that is in the photo below, but just want to check to make sure.

Re: Interior Dome light lens

Here is a photo of each. I paid $30 each, so $30 plus postage works for me. Got a few more.

Re: Interior Dome light lens

That was me. I have both the early style (narrow) and the later (wide). They came out great and I have a few extra of each. I posted a photo of each last May, but your site does not seem to keep photos that old. I can take another tonight.

Re: Value of GTE

Timo has a great point. I bought my car in early 2000 for $15,000 (T. Shaughnessy stopped bidding at $13,000). It was in need of a FULL restoration and there was no way that could be done for the $30-40,000 differential between it and the cars in the FML (as I have since proven). I don't think that ...

Re: GTEs - How many had power windows?

NotRed - I find if I shrink the photo to 500-600 wide, it works. The motor is smaller than I thought and looks pretty simple to install. Does it work well? Wonder why more buyers did not go for this option
