Re: A ridiculous detail...

Actually, that is the original plate in all but the last photo. It was on the rear of the car and in great condition, it just needed to be polished. Needless to say, the one on the front of the car was trashed. I had it rebuilt and painted (last photo), but it was a while ago and I am not sure that ...

Re: Top Light 250 GTE

How white should these be? Should the Series III be as white as the early one? I am sure Yolanda knows, but I will be the one picking them up.

Re: Top Light 250 GTE

I am meeting Yolanda tomorrow to deliver the lights for the molds. There are at least two styles, the big one is from my Series III (which I believe is the one Martin needs and the thinner one is from a very early Series I. Not sure when they changed styles. Will post photos of the results when they...

Re: Top Light 250 GTE

I have been told that LEDs are the way to go on this fixture. Regular bulbs are just too hot. Leave your door open at a show and this plastic cover is toast.

Re: Top Light 250 GTE

I have a new best friend and her name is Yolanda... Dropped by the shop today and had a great time talking to her. She reproduces plastic parts as needed for early Italian cars if you can give her a sample. Her work is excellent; great color, shape and I was very happy with how clear the tiny words ...

A ridiculous detail...

but it made me happy! As I am waiting for the engine block to get back (again) from Ed Pink's shop, my only excuse to go into the garage is to work on little details. First, I cleaned and polished the (original) License Plates. 01.jpg It turns out that you can buy unused registration stickers on eBa...

Re: Top Light 250 GTE

I live about two miles from El Segundo, CA (California!). I would be happy to check it out, but not today, it's a holiday. Do they have them or do they say they can make them?

Re: Window Cranks

It has been a long time since I did mine, but I remember there is a woodruff key (small half circle piece of metal) that has to be removed. I believe that you push in on the escutcheon, which will expose the key. Once you pull this out, it all comes apart. If someone else remembers this differently,...

Re: Replace/Fix GTE Fan Clutch

Ok, Zac took apart two other clutch's and you guys are correct, there is nothing between the ceramic and metal. So, we will clean it up and use it as is! Thanks for everybody's help.
