Re: GTE Headliners

I understand that a customer could get any modification that they were willing to pay for, but I have not seen anything but white as Tom Y describes on a GTE.

Re: Tom's Party at Quail

I am sorry to have missed the party this year! I look forward to catching up with all of you each August, but this year did not work out. Guess I will have to have a chat with the Nieces and Nephews about the evils of getting married during Monterey week... If they cooperate, I will definitely be th...

Re: 250 GTE Carpet Kits

I do not have the plastic covers listed on my database, so I cannot tell you how many cars have them. I can say, however that my Series III, 4247 GT has the aluminum panel, not plastic. The photo below is from a late 1961 magazine from Finland called Tekniikan Maalima that shows a GTE with what appe...

Re: How to search for phrase?

Exactly as you did in your post; within quotes. Search for water temperature and you will get any post that includes the words water & temperature somewhere. Search for "water temperature" and you will only get the two words when they are together.

Re: 250 GT parts - needed

I will have to go back and look, but I am pretty sure there is a white plastic cover, similar material to the dome light.

I agree with Tom Y. Black back and light on the bottom is correct.

Ferrari Numbers vrs Pininfarina Numbers

I just read Tom's blog on Pininfarina numbers and think some clarification is in order. The Pininfarina numbers DO coordinate directly with the Ferrari numbers, but there is no logical order. At the register we have the link between the Ferrari Numbers and PF numbers, which was written by Hil Raab f...

Terry - If there is any issues with shipping to the UK, El Segundo is right down the street from me. I can pick some up and forward them to you very easily.

Re: 330 GTC Sunvisor tips

Tom, what are the serial numbers of the cars by tip color? Trying to see if there is a changeover by year or s/n number. Mine has black tips and is 10489. Thx, Tom I can be of no help what-so-ever when it comes to visor tips in GTCs. However, if you do try to find a crossover point, don't forget th...

John Vardanian wrote:Thanks guys. I did some searching on the net and it looks like the 5mm sheath, which is what is used for the blind, is commonly used in bicycles.

If I recall correctly, Tom Y did it on this site a long time ago with Shimano bicycle cable and piano wire. No duct tape was involved...

FCA Meet in Ohio

Edwin Hofman just posted a very nice set of photo of the FCA Meet, including some of Tom and Sam. You can see them at https://www.icloud.com/sharedalbum/#B0N5oUnugcrJ91. Is that Dennis Garrity's GTE on the lawn?

RIP Ted Rutlands & Wayne Obry

We lost two big friends of the Ferrari world this week. I have met both men many times over the years and have done business with Ted more than once. Their knowledge of our cars was deep and can not be replaced. These men contributed a lot to our hobby and will be missed. On a non-car note, we also ...

Yes, I made the template for the GTE and still have it, believe. If anybody needs it, let me know.
