Re: California-to-GTE Re-body?

It is the body of 4803 GT, which has been converted to a Short Wheelbase replica. Brian Hoyt (Perfect Reflections) had the replica made and sold the body separately. So it is unlikely that this seller dismantled the GTE.

Re: California-to-GTE Re-body?

He already has over $300,000 into the project! That says enough for me...

Sheehan

This does not sound good... DEAR FRIENDS, CLIENTS AND SUBSCRIBERS Effective 08 May of this year Colleen Sheehan, my daughter, and I have unfortunately parted ways. In the last week Colleen has sent out misleading e-mails to friends, clients and the Ferraris Online subscriber lists. As of Monday, 27 ...

Re: Securing plate for droop stop rubber

Those parts looked familiar, but I guess not! Probably comes from all the time I spent with those drawings...

Re: Vintage Style Battery Manufacturers

Got my new "old" battery today from Jim's Battery. Yes, it is not exactly like the one in the Owner's Manual but still looks great in the engine bay. Expensive yes, but it gets a lot of comments at shows and makes me happy.

Re: Vintage Style Battery Manufacturers

As luck would have it, my replica battery just died. It lasted 3 1/2 years and I am sure it would have lasted longer had I not left the lights on in the car overnight... I emailed Jim's Battery again and this time they responded in only 3 1/2 weeks! They say it is still available and lead time is 3-...

Rebuilding a pedal box and other parts

When restoring my GTE I found it so satisfying to do a job like you just did. Yes, it would eventually make the car work better when finished, but just watching it go from a messy, crappy looking pile of metal to looking brand new was exciting. I used to leave the finished parts sitting out as inspi...

Re: Vintage Style Battery Manufacturers

I sent an email to Jim's Batteries (aabmfginc@gmail.com) just under a month ago and got a reply today saying they are still selling reproduction batteries. Don't know the details and I don't have another month to find out. I do like the one they sold me, however!

Re: Vintage Style Battery Manufacturers

I checked my build sheets and my Series III GTE did have a Baroclem ?11 Battery. I couldn't read the first number but other Series III Build Sheets confirmed that it was M11.

Re: Vintage Style Battery Manufacturers

Yes, Motion kept the Kilimanjaro name and web site. I have the Baroclem sticker and I think it looks great. I actually am not sure when Ferrari switched battery suppliers. I went with Baroclem because that is what is shown in the owners manual. You can see from the manual picture that it was the ear...
