Re: GTEs - How many had power windows?

NotRed - I find if I shrink the photo to 500-600 wide, it works. The motor is smaller than I thought and looks pretty simple to install. Does it work well? Wonder why more buyers did not go for this option

LEDs in Taillights

The LED gauge light thread is going well, so I thought I would start this one because it has a wrinkle that does not apply to the gauges. Should my GTE ever hit the road, I would feel more comfortable knowing that people can see my brake lights and turn indicators. Has anyone tried LED's? The hitch ...

Re: Ferrari 250 Gte Change from Generator to Alternator?

This is something I have not collected information on, but should. Going through my build sheets I see that 4039 GT (19th to last Series II) and 4081 GT (3rd to last Series II) had DN 63 B's. 4165 GT (25th Series III) and 4169 GT (27th Series III) had GCA 101 A's. So we have a range. Now we need to ...

If anybody has a photo of the motor and how it fits inside the door, I would like to see that.

Re: GTEs - How many had power windows?

I do not have an answer to that question in the register. I have seen a few with what look like GM switches, but don't know if what is inside the door is original or GM. At least one 60's review has mentioned the electric windows. If you have electric windows, let me know and I will add that categor...

Re: Weber carb spindle wear

Keith - Make sure to check the carbs for warping as well. As those shafts wear, owners tend to tighten down the bolts at the base of the carb, assuming that the air leaks they hear are coming from a loose connection. The gaskets at the bottom of the carb will allow the base to bend if overtightened,...

Emergency/Assessory lights

A long time ago, we had a discussion about what kind of light was supposed to plug into the socket under the dash, left of the steering wheel. We didn't come up with an answer, but I have kept up the search and found two lights that fit in the socket and actually light up! The one on the left is mad...
