Re: Who is going to Cavallino?

We'll be there. Arriving Wednesday and leaving Sunday morning, not attending the Trump thing. For all you GTE enthusiasts, Alan Boe's lovely car will be on the Concours field fresh from Bob Smith's shop. I'll be baby sitting it for him while he is judging other classes.
See y'all there

Just back in the UK from the Concours at the Royal Dutch Palace at Het Loo in The Netherlands. Yvo Alexander organized and despite a few last minute hitches, assembled fifteen 250 GTEs. Great event.........and we drove 700 km each way to be there. Here are a few photos

Re: How much ZDDP?

Try Mobil 1 15W-50. This has 1000 ppm of ZDDP and is specifically recommended for "older" engines (even old British crocks!)

Re: 3777GT SII or SIII ?

And another thing.....2713 was registered in Sept 1961 not 1962.
Interesting too that both Antoine Prunet and Hans Tanner/ Doug Nye mis-identify 2713 in the captions to the early photograph of 2713 shown above that appears in their learned tomes on Ferraris!

Re: 3777GT SII or SIII ?

Perhaps, as the current owner of 2713, I can chip in! Bought the car in 2011 after it had crossed the Atlantic 3 times (see my recent articles about the car in FML). As the car was owned by the factory for its first two years it seems that it was used by them as a development hack. It definitely sta...

Re: Insurance adjustment needed?

Interesting price. The Artcurial description says it was restored to its original color in 2012 in Italy. Engine and running gear completely overhauled but no mention on different numbers. Car is a Series 2, according to Gerald Roush but has some additional lights and buttons on the dashboard

Re: Insurance adjustment needed?

It seems the Series 1 330 GTs are also making some progress (at last). 7059 sold for $218,541 yesterday at the Bonhams auction in Paris. See http://www.bonhams.com/auctions/21768/lot/394/ Artcurial were also selling a GTE (3903) and another Series 1 330 (#5831) today but haven't published the result...

Re: Cavallino 2014

Just returned to the cold of Virginia from a very pleasant temperature in Palm Beach. Another great show with several cars I've not seen before.....but no GTEs or Series 1 330 GT 2+2s. Shame! Here are 3 of my images from the show (the site won't let me add any more!). I have lots more and can give m...

Re: Cavallino 2014

Greg
I guess the answer is that in previous years there have been very few 2+2's "on the field" (more's the pity) so they put them together in one class. See you there.

Re: Cavallino 2014

Hi Tom
Yes, my wife Anne and I will be there with some friends from Virginia. Would you still like me to act as "official" photographer for you? It's a great excuse to get in early!
Do you plan to have a get together as last year?
