Re: Door latch screws GTE

Another thing you can keep an eye out for on ebay, for the philips ones, are latches from 60s pininfarina-bodied fiats. Specifically, 1200/1500 cabriolets, 124 spiders, and dinos. Same parts. Still, they tend to get chewed up or rusty, so newly made ones would be ideal, of course. If anyone is in a ...

Re: Captured nut replacement

That type of cage nut is used on computer/telco equipment racks. If you know any one who works in a datacenter or IT organization, you could probably get a handful of them for free :)

Re: Mystery Part #3

Same on my FIAT 1500 cabriolet as well (also a pininfarina car of the period). There are a few different sizes of these used on my car, with the rocker ones being the largest.

Re: Horn Detailing

Tom another bit of info to confuse the subject further, the air horns on the fiat Dinos were hammertone (don't know about the Ferrari versions) M Interesting- are you sure about that? I haven't noticed any sign of that on mine, but then again i'm pretty sure mine were spraypainted black at some poi...

Re: Rear View Mirror

FYI, on the thin glass issue. When I had to do this for my Fiat, a helpful lady at my local glass store, after being unable to find the thin stuff, suggested a craft store. I was able to buy a round piece of mirror of the perfect thickness at Jo-Anne Fabrics, and then the glass shop was able to cut ...

Re: Leaking radiator @ Blackhorse

I attended the open house at blackhorse this past saturday (they've been busy!). Neat place! The logistics of moving cars in and out of all of those rooms must be loads of fun, eh?

Also if you're cheap and have a linux box or NAS lying around, it's possible to use them for time machine backups, which is what I've done.

Re: Computer Crash

Ouch... sorry to hear that.. Hope you're back up and running soon. Backups are important, no doubt!

I've got everything either backed up or mirrored, but mirroring isn't really a good substitute for a proper backup.. I need to fix that some time soon.. Maybe this weekend.
