George Murtha is still around to the best of my knowledge. He is located in Connecticut, not Massachusetts. He used to advertise parts (and cars) in the FML. I believe the phone number is incorrect. Send me a pm if you need his phone number.

Do you think that the car wears a "salvage" title as a result of an insurance settlement or because of the damage the car actually sustained? Looking at the photos, the damage does not appear to be too severe. Anyone know if the car has any frame damage, especially around the rear passenger side?

GREENWICH CONCOURS

Is anyone on this board going to the Greenwich Concours on Sunday? If so, as an entrant or exhibitor?

Jack- Sorry to hear about the damage to your car. Clearly, if the outfit that caused the damage is indeed "world class", I would just consider this an unfortunate incident and let them remedy the situation. However, if you have lost all confidence in this outfit, a couple of shops that come to mind:...

Just as an FYI, I believe the XJS was designed by Malcolm Sayer. I have heard that the project to replace the E-Type started as early as 1968. The first XJS was produced around 1975.

I believe that the Lusso, as well as an unrestored California Spyder and a 275 GTB/4 were all offered for sale by Basil Shadlun of New Jersey. I believe that he owned some or all of above vehicles for quite some time. I know that the Lusso and California Spyder were offered on e-bay. The Lusso was a...
