Andrew, I should have mentioned that the second mirror would straighten out the image.

Deane, Giovanni, and All, I bit the bullet and removed the driver's side door panel to confirm Giovanni's helpful reply and description of the correct GTC window crank. It turns out that the helical-gear type crank is not correct, at least not for my early GTC (s/n 8843). The crank Giovanni describe...

330 GTC (or other?) Electric Window Emergency Crank
I recently acquired a supposed 330 GTC emergency window crank for use when the electric window motor quits. Does anyone have a picture of one they can send me or point me to, so that I might tell if I lucked out? I don't want to pull off a door panel if I don't have to. I will send a picture of the ...

I found a source for the Aeroquip 1540 hoses. It is the Goodall Rubber Co., Seattle, Tel: 253-395-4770. They are a distributor for Aeroquip products. Ask for Dan in Sales as he is the one who ordered my hoses from Aeroquip. Any distributor for Aeroquip products can get you the 1540 a/c hose. You nee...

Charles, thanks for the input. The hose for a/c is specially for a/c use only. Hoses for gas, oil, coolant, etc. won't work as the freon gas will permeate right through them. Italparts prices for the various hoses are pretty high. Anyone can go down to the local truck maintenance shop and get the sa...

Tom, thanks for the kind comment :). No problem, I realize that a/c is not a high priority for vintage Ferraris, and shouldn't be. What with the Pacific Northwest having record high temperatures it sure has become a priority for me though!! I did find a source for the hoses if anybody ever needs the...

A little further information after chasing around town after a/c hose today. The size of hose I need is #6, #8, and #10. The hose end fittings come off the old hose and go on the new hose (once I find some) fairly easily, once you know how to do it. If anybody needs information on installing the fit...

Replace Old A/C Hoses
I am trying to get the a/c working in my 330. The hoses themselves are leaking. One of the hoses says "Aeroquip 1540" on it with a date of 4/66, so I'm pretty sure it is the correct original hose. That hose has the black braided cloth cover on it. I have heard that Aeroquip 1540 is only available in...

Well, here is the factory's final reply. My GTC is not pure as the driven snow. Maybe I'll make up a "Certificate of Support and Affection" for my car so it feels a little better. The transaxle number is in the right number range for my chassis number, but it could be a little high--like the transax...

I just sent in my fourth reply to the factory with all the pictures of numbers I could find. I'll let you all know how I make out, whether it be success or failure to obtain the documents. If anybody who has a GTC has been through this process, I sure would like to hear from you. Thanks much all for...

Build Sheets
Thank you all for your informative and entertaining replies. I spoke with one of the Ferrari Holy of Holies (G. Roush, FML), and he was able to help me figure some more stuff out. Luke, like your diff, it's beginning to look like my car doesn't have the origional transaxle, though everything else is...

Build Sheets, Heritage Certificate--Has Anybody Done It?
I'm trying to obtain the Heritage Certificate & Build Sheets for my '66 330 GTC S/N 8843 from the factory. I belong to the Ferrari Owners (factory) website and have been corresponding with them regularly. But it is frustrating to say the least. Has anybody successfully obtained these documents from ...

Addendum to previous post: I spoke with Paul Barry at Ansa this morning--very helpful person, Tel. 1.478.788.6653, ext 109 (great contact, Jack H.). He has in stock just the resonator tips for a very good price, $28.75 each, four needed on a GTC. The red tape and the Ansa-Marmite decals for the tips...
