Re: Chicago Craigslist 250 GTE

Quick update on this car. A friend of mine purchased it. It was delivered yesterday and I had quite a lot of fun driving through the countryside. The car is really well done. His original intent was to source a 250 or 330 engine, but that may change. It may be blasphemous, but the car is much nicer ...

Re: Monterey 2009 Pictures

I spoke to the owner of the black GTE (sn 2569) at Concorso. Nice guy. He has owned the car about ten years. It was originally white I think as the dash and upper door panels were that color. Car is a solid driver from Southern California. The white GTE belongs to a fellow in the Sacramento area nea...

That is a great looking interior. May I ask who did this?

Thanks, Rad

Re: Steering wheel restoration

Josh,

I have had a BMW steering wheel repaired at aglausa.com in Florida. They are leather specialists so they may be able to help. Good luck.

Re: Brake rotor thickness

Kerry, I heard this as well. The only thing I have found on one of the rotors are three indents, fairly pronounced, but nothing more.

Thanks,

Brake rotor thickness

Happy Holidays to all. I posted this question on another thread, but it probably deserves it own response. I've looked everywhere I know, but could not find an answer. I'm looking over my front rotors on a 250 GTE. Who knows the minimum thickness of this rotor? I would like to have them turned if po...

Re: Brake Rebuilding Project

Tom's, I'm enjoying the review of this project. I'm wondering if you or the other knowledgeable guys know what the minimum brake rotor dimension is in order to determine if there is enough surface to turn? I have not been able to find this information anywhere. As always, thanks in advance for any i...

My flags are similar to the others with the red diamond against the white background.

Re: 250 America engine support needed

Hein, I am not clear which part you are looking at. I am in the midst of a similar application and would appreciate any helpful hints.

David, I would very much like to see your installation. Any scale drawings showing mount locations, etc...

Re: 250 GTE Hub Nut Size?

Thanks Tom & Tom. 27mm makes sense. It is the only size I do not have up to 32mm. Looks like a trip to purchase one.

250 GTE Hub Nut Size?

Well, I'm digging in to the front suspension and brakes. Who can tell me the size of the castle nut holding the hub?

Thanks,

Unfortunately, I had a similar thing happen to me. My 2002 MINI Cooper hydrolocked from water in the #1 cylinder. The damage was catastrophic including a shattered piston broken rod and a fist sized hole in the block. The cause of the water is still somewhat of an question. Officially, MINI does not...

Where should I go in Italy

I'll be in Italy this fall (October). Any recommendations for must visits? Also, What is the best way to reserve a factory tour?

Thanks, Rad
