Re: 250 GTE sn 4063

I expected someone to point out past postings about this poor Ferrari! Looks like another one that can be added to the 330 GT registry.

It appears there are few usable parts left. Somebody would have to have a unique set of parts available to resurrect this one.

250 GTE sn 4063

I searched and didn't find this sn. I hope it's not a repost. Someone on FerrariChat posted this URL

Tom,

So are you jealous now that you've learned specifics about 5053's past liaisons ?

Tom,

Outstanding article. I'm very glad to see you get recognition for a job well done. I have to agree with 8339 that there could have/should have been more about the impact of your website in the vintage Ferrari world.

Congratulations!

Congratulations! Well Deserved

:D This special award couldn't have gone to a more deserving individual. I've been following Tom's journey for a number of years and had to opportunity to meet Tom in Monterey a couple of years ago. Tom's effort to keep us all informed via this website (not to say making a career change to have more...

I really enjoyed you're first podcast. If I'm going to listen to one it will be sitting here on my PC. In that case photos that go along with the podcast would be welcome. Looking forward to the next one. Thirty minutes is a bit long. I see all these folks running, walking, driving, etc. etc. with e...

Moving the license plate to the rear bumper seems to be a Wayne Sparling thing. His aluminum bodied 275 GTB/4 09501 has a split rear bumper with the plate mounted between.

I'm not quite sure what model of Alfa this was. -RP Some knowledgeable folks @ Ferrarichat.com shed some light on this Alfa. During the 1956 Mille Miglia, Carlo Leto di Priolo badly crashed his Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Veloce, destroying the body. He then had the car rebodied by his friend Elio ...

Thanks. Zagato makes sense based on the double-bubble roof but the rest of it sure doesn't look like any other Zagato I've ever seen.

Thanks again for the great photos.

Re: Vintage Festival at Lime Rock

Some pictures from the event and Sandy's car are here. -RP Great pix. Any idea what the silver Alfa coupe in pix 43, 48, 49 is? The silver Alfa Sprint looks exactly like my 2nd car from back in the 60s. One of those that got away you wish you had b...

Autocool HC12a R134a & R12 replacement?

Has anyone had any experience with Autocool HC12a refigerant? :?: It's claimed to be a replacement for R12 and R134a? http://www.autocool-refrigerants.com/ On the surface this sounds like a good alternative to converting my 400i to R134a given the complication of a dual AC system, etc. Any input/tho...
