Re: color of extractor vents

I think the chrome looks great. I agree that it visually breaks up the black. If it were mine, I would not change it.

330 GT 6937 For Sale in Houston

Saw this on F-Chat and thought it was interesting.

Hard to tell if it's been re-sprayed a darker red than it was in the 330 GT registry.

Wow, Peter Kalikow's 330 America is gorgeous.

Tom, it would have been nice to see yours next to his. Next year, hopefully.

Racer,

Sounds like you got a good shell for your project. You're doing exactly what I would have if the stars had lined up for me. Good luck, keep us updated, and thanks for saving this GTE.

Comment on Fchat was that a 250 engine was not available anywhere, at any price. Someone put a bid in for $18K last night. The auction must have ended shortly after that. I was curious if you could get a 330 engine and make your own 330 America out of it. Are the motor mount points the same, or woul...

IIRC, he drove the car, said it was strong. Sounds like the same car from your comment on the paint. He passed on it partly because of the interior - I think he said that the color was originally tobacco or orange, and had been converted to black, except for the headliner. He wasn't sure that he cou...

I know someone that was looking at the same GTC. I'm interested to hear what you think of it.

Tom, just a quick note - The sound file of your car is really good, and, I have to say, so is the sound on the Letterman show. My wife tivo's a couple of daytime talk shows and watches them at night, and there is no comparison. The sound on the Tony Danza show is especially bad. Mic's are always pla...

I'd be happy to host pictures on my server for those that can't.

email me the picture and thread name, put "tomyang.net" somewhere in the subject, and I'll try to have them up within a day.

I'll take care of resizing them, too.

Thanks,

-Dean

Tom,

I've been lurking for what must be over 2 years. I've enjoyed watching the progress on your car, and coudn't be happier for you that she's on the road. Enjoy the rest of the driving season.

The 512 BB isn't a vintage Ferrari? ;) Kidding. Since you already have a V8 and a boxer 12, a V-12 would be a nice addition. A late 250 PF Coupe would be nice, but a 100 point car would be over your price range. Otherwise, you're probably looking at a 2+2. A 330 GT 2+2 would be a nice addition. You ...

I picked it up at B&N this past Friday. Good article, nice cars, and it was interesting to read about the difference in feel between the Series I and II 330's.
