Re: Plug wire installation
All good tips offered. Try pulling the front wires first. As for the grommets, if you cannot push them into the tubes try cutting the lip off of the end that inserts into the tube and add a drop of super glue if it will not stay in. Additionally, if you use solid core wire crimp and solder the wires...

Re: Daytona AC Belts
One additional factor that makes these belts hard to change are the motor mounts. If the motor mounts have started to compress due to age it makes the space between the belts and the frame and pulley very close and hard to slide the belts past them.

These belts are usually sold as matched pairs, possibly that is the part numbers for 1 or 2. Got my matched pair from Bill at GT Parts, he carries these ask him.

Re: Fuse board junction/terminal/connector
Are you trying to replace a missing one or one that is giving you trouble? These junction blocks are very troublesome, but can be easily cleaned up to function well. The many different metals in them cause these connections to lose conductivity and heat up.

Re: Weber DCZ6 accelerator pumps
Like Dyke said the ball in that holding bolt is a problem. While you have the nozzle off to check the ball, also be sure the small squirter holes in the nozzle ends are open and clear, A small wire is an easy check and cleaning tool for this.

Re: 330GT frozen front suspension
When driving/pushing the pins out, the bushings may or may not slide out with it. If the bushing stays in find a socket that fits into the bore and push it out. Repack with a good grease by hand and slide it back in, then after you reassemble add additional grease via the zerk.

Re: 330GT frozen front suspension
The brass bushings are thicker than the fibre ones and will/may not work. If you need to replace the bushings use what style was fitted. Yes, removing the fibre bushings and cleaning the old grease out and re greasing them may solve the problem. Note once you compress the spring using what ever meth...

Re: Need correct door hinge pins for my Lusso
Steve, wind and passengers cannot be counted on to protect the door from swinging full open and possibly hitting the front fender and creasing the door. Some form of stop was designed in by the factory, first a simple strap, which looked not too nice, then the rubber stop inside the front jamb trim ...

Re: Need correct door hinge pins for my Lusso
Steve, the hinge pins have nothing to do with restraining the door, there were a couple of ways they used to do this. The older way was just a strap that limited the amount of swing , the other (later) was a rubber bumper inside the front trim panel.

There should be no play between those parts, the rebuilder possibly replaced the 3 screws with ones that are too long.

Re: 330GT frozen front suspension
If the front end is frozen it will require full disassembly and repaired, either removing the old grease or replacing the bushings. This requires spring removal. In some previous topics here there were various discussions about spring removal. Again, this is a dangerous and difficult task, and it sh...

Re: 330GT frozen front suspension
The upper and lower outside pivot shafts are a source of frozen front arms. These are the areas where the last few owners did not spend time to push the grease all the way through the shafts and/or the old grease turned to stone. Remove the circlip from the bottom of the bucket while holding the spr...
