Re: GTC Lucas alternator #

I feel stupid reiterating what you said, but i'd scour every purveyor of British parts I could find (and there are many!). I too, have had mixed results, tho' generally positive, with CAE/BNR in Van Nuys. I spoke with "Bob". 4/5, s

Re: GTC Lucas alternator #

HI Ed, here are a few pictures of the alternator from my GTC #8995. Build date, late 1966. Of course i have no way to be certain that it is original to the car. The pulley diameter = 151+mm. Tho' not for sale, i'm happy to help in any other way i can. steve IMG_2559.jpg IMG_2558.jpg IMG_2556.jpg IMG...

GTC wipers

Do these just press on the splines or do they also utilize a set screw? The ones I have, use a set screw, but it's stripped on one arm. I thought I read that these were really a British product. Comments? thanx steve

Re: New member , Malta Europe

Welcome to the best Ferrari website for useful technical info and congrats on a very nice car. Here's how I remember the critical KO tightening recs: "Tight Ass"...always tighten the KO spinners toward the back of the car. I'll refrain from any other of my usual smart ass remarks. steve (I too, use ...

330 gtc spare tire hold down

Finally decided to get the correct spare tire hold down bolt for my GTC. Ordered from Mr. Fiat, but the one he sent is about 1" too short. Now, maybe he sent the wrong one, but I wanted to be certain my tub looks to be correct. Here's a picture and it shows two rubber-covered wedges that look to be ...

Re: Removing cam covers

Tom, I'll have you know that my matching numbers cat Enzo, Houston SPCA registration #8995, was highly offended by your cruel comment about skinning his brethren. And, yes, sometimes you need to wear Nomex if you get into the mix on BaT. Who'd a thunk? s

Removing cam covers

There was an interesting tidbit in the discussion of this 330GT S2 https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1966-ferrari-330-2/#comments. It involved removing the cam covers to set the valves. The poster uses a slide hammer and some safety wire after removing the decorative balls from the cover. I've done ...
