Re: Radcliffe event
The Radcliffe/Yang event is one of my "must do" events. this includes my daughter and son in law, and my son when he can make it. Not just because of the cars, but because of the people we don't get to see otherwise. And there are the new people who turn up with interesting cars and stories. And not...

I have gotten several calls over the last 3 years. If he is not a broker he acts as one.

Re: Transmission and Differential Oil
Is there any danger from not using the additive? Or side effects from using it if not needed? We all know the saying "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"
I have not experienced any chatter in my 330 GT although I had on a couple of previous vehicles. but I wasn't using synthetic either.

Re: Transmission and Differential Oil
I understand that modern synthetic gear oil does not need the GM limited slip additive. Correct me if I am wrong since I use synthetic without the additive - which I have sitting on the shelf from a long time ago. I do know my limited slip works since I have driven on slippery surfaces, and both whe...

Hi:
Where are you going to get appropriate shoes:- surely not Discount Shoe Warehouse! I suggest there are excellent bootmakers on Threadneedle Street who could fit you with something good enough for such a neat carriage.
Wish I was going to be there

Re: Rubber kit for 330 GT clutch master cylinder
The clutch slave cylinder in mine (and I think all) is a Fiat part. Right after I got my 330 I got the part from JC Whitney. Unfortunately that has been a long time ago, but it might be a lead.

Ferrari and bling
Take a look at the pictures posted by Tom from the Radcliffe/Yang event. The lack of bling is striking. Says something about the Ferrari owners (but what?) who attend this event!

Re: RM auctions result
Let's see, the drive to the Radcliffe Motors/Tom Yang event was Providence RI to Oxford MD to Riesterstown MD and back to Providence..875 miles of pure pleasure (not counting the potholes in the Palisades Parkway and Tappan Zee Bridge). Bright sunlight, 70 degrees, elbow out the window, nice breeze...

Re: Oil Rear GT330 Leaf Springs?
Hi John: I am not sure if the Motorcycle Chain oil contains some graphite in addition to Moly' Sulfide. But it is very slippery stuff, and if it is compatible with the plastic liner, it seems pretty intriguing. You will notice almost all chassis grease these days contains "Moly". And Moly based prod...

Re: Oil Rear GT330 Leaf Springs?
Lubrication of rear leaf springs with liners (full length or just pads at the tips) should usually not be done with Grease (as with the old cars - not just British - which have the covered springs) An alternative, which seems to work for me, it to use Motorcycle Chain Lubrication which deposits Grap...

Re: Hood "gasket" or hood "trim" on 330 GT?
My trunk trim is the original plastic. it broke or separated due to shrinkage over the years leaving a gap (along the back rim) of about 3 inches. I reattached the two ends to each other AND the pinch weld using black silicone glue. Now the trim was too short, but using the heat gun it could be stre...

I also would be interested in a universal joint - but it would be uncouth to try to jump the queue. But if anyone has one contact me.

Re: Pins 1, Bolts 4
My 330 has a bolt and domed locknut - It is original enough to think that was how that car was made. The finish on the strap is ?.
It is just a dull gray. Could be either zinc or cad originally. In the many thousand Antique Ford Bolts/nuts I have seen, they both weather to about the same look.
