Re: TY Party @ Greenspans

Hello All! It's been a long time since I last posted. Tom had invited me to the party and I had hoped to attend but, unfortunately, I was hospitalized. That said I'm out and my wife took me to the beach yesterday afternoon (Oct 1) and as we were waiting to pull out on to NJ Route 72 towards Long Bea...

Re: drive line noise

George,

I had the same problem. As I recall, Francois found the cause by swapping components from a similar chassis that did not have the problem until the problem went away. In my case it was the driveshaft. It had been improperly reballanced by a prior mechanic.

Re: Our friends in the path of Sandy

Peter,

I have confidence that if the tree was damaged, Francois and Tom can repair it or find an appropriate OE replacement!

Re: Our friends in the path of Sandy

Hi All, I'm glad to hear that everyone is OK. We made it though. Various family members lost power from 12 hours - 11 days but not much other damage - except my sister-in-law who has a house at Normady Beach on the Jersey shore. That house is still standing but will need a lot of work to bring back ...

Re: wall art

Sadly, both bodies were in good shape before they were removed to be replaced by replicas. Considering they no longer had a purpose, they have been converted into something quite beautiful.

Re: Correct Marchals for 250 GTE/330 America

I did a quick search, I think I only found half of my stuff. I have a used light with a 670-680 lense. I also have 2 NOS, in the box, 670-680-690 lenses. Note: the 670-680 lenses look identical to the 670-680-690 lenses except for the numbers on the lenses. The rest of the stuff in this stash is of ...

Re: Correct Marchals for 250 GTE/330 America

I still have a bunch of Marchal stuff on the shelf, in storage (mostly used, some NOS). Which number lense/light do you need?

Re: stupid is as stupid does

This reminds me of when I followed Tom Y down the highway from the first Tomyang.net gathering. If I recall, I was following Tom to cover his rear because his brake lights were being flakey. We were driving at night. Even though it was dark, the gawkers were drawn to Tom's bright red car like moths ...

Re: Plugs

Michael, Just a quick note: fine wire plugs will provide an advantage in combustion beyond the normal benefit of installing a fresh set of plugs. I think I posted an explanation in the Ferrarichat 308 thread linked to above. However, the lead in the fuel you use may present a problem when using thes...

Re: 3787GT

Unfortunately, not a joke. I was told about the car prior to it being listed on ebay. Apparently the engine will be used as a spare for a 250 SWB. Julio Batista (on Fchat) of Madrid Spain owned and restored it prior to its importation into the US.

Re: Kare's project

I think we should all chip in and buy Kare a machine shop! :D

Neat stuff. However, I want to know what the text says on the post where Kare recreates a lock mechanism before I comment further.

Re: Question for Jimmy K. Chen Shiba

Jimmy, They are not practical here either. Though practicality and Ferrari have never had much in common... :) I am getting by here, I had to switch my company's focus away from automotive for the moment but we will make it through (I recently got a souvenir from one of our non-automotive customers ...

Re: Question for Jimmy K. Chen Shiba

Hi Jimmy, Thank you for taking the time! I your answer is sufficiently detailed for me. Sounds like the standard car guy - the same the world over! I'm glad to hear that another 330 is alive and well. Its too bad that we don't know the serial number (well...Kerry probably does...) Regards, Art S.

Question for Jimmy K. Chen Shiba

Jimmy,

I came across this video on Youtube. Do you know who this guy is and can you tell us what he is saying?
