Re: Period-Correct Auto Battery

I'm not sure that a specific Odyssey battery model is inside the Antique Auto Battery case. At least I don't know. Perhaps Odyssey or Antique Battery know. What I do know is that uses Odyssey's proprietary technology. Generically, it's an Odyssey battery with a different case.

Period-Correct Auto Battery

I know Tom is aware of what I am about to discuss; but, I am unsure if it has been presented on his forum. If the following is redundant, I apologize. I have been frustrated with tar top lead acid batteries, with poor service and potential for acid corrosion. For the last several years, I have equip...

Re: Turn-signal stalk remanufacturing

ODD Parts rebuilt my 3 stalk setup for my 330GTS. He uses new, more durable plastics, and the stalks are stainless steel. Works well so far (about 3 yrs old).

Re: 330 GTC emergency hood release cable

Behind glovebox and towards center consul. It doesn't have the hinged handle of the main hood release, but rather, a ring on the end of the cable (as I remember).

Re: Quail Lodge closing

The info I received from the Quail stated they had been losing money for yrs (read: before this recession), that they were closing the hotel operation for good in November, but, would continue special events, including the Quail auto event each August.

Re: The Quail

Yes, two tickets, for a price. Next, find a place to stay. My car will be there also, provided current work is finished in time (rebuilding steering box).

Re: Battery

Last year I was watching "How its made" on the science channel, and the topic was lead acid batteries. They were filming the manufacture of very interesting batteries at the Odyssey Battery plant. I then Googled Odyssey, and discovered something new in car batteries. They use pure lead (read: more e...

Re: Keys CEAM/TORINO. My perspective.

I purchased key blanks some yrs ago for my 330GTS from keys4classics.com (in Australia). I remember them being responsive, and they work off emailed close-up photos of your original keys, plus any code #'s on the keys. I also remember it being relative inexpensive. They might not have the molded pla...

Re: "New Post" Icon

Well, Rebooting seemed to help a little-a few of the icons would go black after I opened and closed the string, but many wouldn't budge. Perplexing at first. Then..........Aha!: If a string has more than one page, the last page has to be opened before the icon will go black. Tada! Ps. I like Mozilla...

"New Post" Icon

Ever since the recent software upgrade for this website went into effect, a trouble has persisted: The circular icon at the beginning of each string, red when a new post exists, and black when no new post exists, seems not to work. To wit, the icon remains red even after I have entered the string. T...

It is my recollection that there is a emerg release cable under/behind the instrument panel, accessed from beneath, as my release failed to work in about 2002 at a car show, and a fellow exhibitor was able to open the hood. I'm less certain if he went in the driver's footwell, or the other side. Goo...
