Short story on 330GT 7137

I wanted to stop in and say hello to my old friends on this forum and point anyone who is interested to http://www.legacymotorsport.com. I have posted two short articles (with lots of photos) of my experience owning and restoring 330GT #7137 – you might find it interesting. Its been a year since the...

Re: 7137 Sold!

Thanks Tom. It was just time for that car, but it may be one of those that I end up missing. Of all the cars I've ever restored, I have the most invested in the 330 – and that doesn't necessarily mean money. However, the good news is, I have a spot open in the garage, which means I'm on the hunt . ....

Re: 7137 Sold!

Yale - was for sale very quietly. I did not advertise it much because I wasn't that anxious. The Ferrarichat guy talked to me as well as several others.

7137 Sold!

Well fellows, 7137 has been sold to a charming woman in Detroit. I've met a lot of great people through this site over the past eight years and hope to see many of you again at the various Monterey events.

I almost thought I was looking at photographs of my car. The repaired areas and methods are nearly identical.

Re: Quail Lodge closing

Jim is correct. I spoke to a friend who is on the Motorsports Gathering committee over the weekend and he confirmed that the event will continue this year along with the motorcycle event in May.
Yale - the Motorsports Gathering is on Friday.

7137 is for sale

Well fellas, I think its time for me to let the 330 go - and, believe me, its a TOUGH decision. This is not economic stimulus motivated as much as its just time to move on. Since I've been a part of this community for nearly seven years I thought I'd put the seed out here first. Its a nice car. Chec...

Re: Can there be a more miserable task?

John - I had to do this on the passenger side a few years ago. I'll admit, it was one of the more frustrating tasks! I found out the hard way that I had cut the wire about two inches to short and everything would bind up or fall off the wheel and kink, etc. etc. Unfortunately, I cannot remember the ...

Re: Anodized Grille - how to strip the anodizing

We also use - believe it or not - oven cleaner to strip anodizing from motorcycle wheels. Spray it on, leave it out in the sun (obviously hard to do this time of year!). It turns the anodizing black and comes right off with water and a light scrubbing.

Per Josh's reply I have used Classic Tube (http://www.classictube.com/) several times in the past. In fact, they had my rear tubes in stock! I think I had one hiccup where they sent me a wrong part once, but it was quickly resolved.

I have the same problem pumping gas and I don't like to completely fill the tank either. To make matters worse, the fuel gauge only gives an approximate fuel level at best. I ran out of gas four times while sorting the car during its restoration and my wife threatened to stop rescuing me. It went th...

Will be down Wednesday night for the McCall event, in and out on Thursday, Quail on Friday, races on Saturday and maybe Pebble. I've attended the Monterey events every year since 1976, but this will be the first time in about 15 years that my wife and I are not staying in Monterey - we're just going...
