Pulling tanks looks like pulling the whole back of the car apart, and to be avoided. Maybe you could flush through the transfer line between tanks. On old used cars like yours :), when you run the tanks down low then you really start to pick up the crud from the bottom where it is no longer diluted with lots of fuel. have you considered a power rack and pinion, something like they are doing with street rods or vintage muscle cars? I like to mix in some power steering fluid, check out the MSDS and you will find its mostly parraffins(slipery) from the oil base stock, atf is mostly detergent, and the acetone get it to a very low viscosity to penetrate threads

Well, I think sanding is the most miserable............but at what point do you just convert to a track or flex shaft type of window motors?

WWW.Madelectrical.com I think they reccomend two relays for a High amp fan. They have lots of good methods for old cars.

Is also possible to make a distributor on a lathe, they are not complex, a housing and shaft, pressed on or staked on gear, couple of bearings. We replaced or crappy lucas dizzy'z on racing cosworths in the 70's with a local made dizzy not cheap but not too bad either. Is this some sort of a concour...
