Dan - I bought a hood pad for my series I (I assume yours is the same diamond quilted silver vinyl) from T Rutlands this past June.

Re: 330 GT bodywork & paint
Ian - I think you're correct. In addition to the reasons you note, my bodyshop moved to a new facility midstream and also changed some personnel. Also got the distractions of cars of regular customers being prepped for Pebble Beach or other events. My shop also does work on late model exotic cars an...

Re: 330 GT bodywork & paint
Thanks for fixing the earlier links Josh.
I may drive it down to Cavallino. Only problem is I still need to get a replacement wheel so I have a spare tire before taking that drive.

Re: 330 GT bodywork & paint
Bodywork and paint on my car was finished a couple of months ago and I finally got around to taking some photos to post. Apparently, one's sense of urgency and concept of time is altered when you enter the vintage Ferrari restoration zone. To recap, I purchased the car in August 2005 and was in an a...

Nice Alfa GTV being auctioned too. Don't want this to turn into a Ferrarichat economic forecasting session, but found a little background info - BOOM, BUST Up for auction: bankrupt condo converter Juan Puig's fleet of vintage sports cars; nine road and mountain bikes; furnishings from his former Gab...

I like the color - looks similar to several cars I saw online when I was obsessing about what to do with mine and even considered going in that direction. Finally decided on the blue sera because I thought it would look better with original interior color, which I really liked. You mentioned maybe g...

Just got a new Northern Tool & Equipment catalog and saw this: <a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n174/ojcallahan/199504_lg.gif" border="0" alt="Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket"></a> It's 1/18 scale and I thought it might be a...

Tom - I don't have any good photos of the area with the upholstery removed, but I was thinking of attaching the shoulder harness to the very top of the wheel well, which is right behind the seat back under the rear side window latch. I think the wheel well is touching the package shelf at this point...

Got mine this evening. I applied for a Heritage Certificate about a week ago but the site told me one was not available for my car. Received a polite email from site this morning saying the engine number I input was incorrect and to please try again. I didn't get around to trying that, but this even...

My 7 year old son was in the car when I got hit, but fortunately it was a fairly low speed collision (I was stopped between other cars and couldn't get out of the way) and impact wasn't too dramatic. At least he's learning defensive driving early - I think he's still on the lookout for 18 wheelers t...

John - Fortunately, while damage was ugly, it was not too deep. Shop was originally going to try to locate a replacement fender, but decided it was better to just repair old one. They cut out the the section behind the wheel well and straightened out the rest of the fender, including the rear uprigh...

330 GT bodywork & paint
I haven’t been posting much, since 330 has been in bodyshop since Oct ’05. Is now painted and we’re waiting on new rubber to arrive. Clearcoat, buffing and reassembly remain. Has been “almost done” for past year, though, and I’d planned on waiting to post photos when it was done. But, since we’re al...

Sounds more like a charitable foundation type endeavor - point might be only to preserve and keep the cars we all appreciate on the road, as well as the considerable benefit of documenting the process, tips, sourcing of stuff, etc. Perhaps to make it more interesting the "shares" could be raffle tic...
